An Upscale Craft Beer & Food Extravaganza
Presented by the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce
Square Kegs Home Brew Club
CHICAGO – June 27, 2011 – The Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce “Pairings in the Plaza,” an upscale craft beer and food extravaganza! On Saturday, July 16 the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce Square Kegs Home Brew Club will host an afternoon of food and craft beer pairings under the open sky in Giddings Plaza. From 2pm to 6pm several of Lincoln Square’s finest restaurants and local breweries will provide samplings of delectable cuisines paired with the best brews in town.
“This intimate festival will give beer lovers and foodies a chance to learn how pairing the right beer and food together can enhance one another. Chefs and brewers will be on hand to discuss their selections for the event and how each element of the pairing enhances the other, “ said Rich Forsythe, Creator of the Square Kegs Home Brew Club.
“Lincoln Square is fast becoming a place for craft beer and to die for food, all of the beer featured at the event will be brewed within a five mile radius from Giddings Plaza and the food is from our local restaurants in Lincoln Square,” said Melissa Flynn, executive director of the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce.
On Saturday July 16, 2011 from 2:00-6:00 pm patrons will be able to taste beers from Metropolitan, Finch and 5 Rabbit Brewery. These fine craft beers will be paired with delicious food from Bistro Campagne, Homage Street Food, The Grafton, LM, Pizza D.O.C. and Prix Fixe. Pairings in the Plaza will take place in Giddings Plaza @ N. Lincoln and W. Giddings (across from the Chicago Brauhaus). The event is for 21 and older, tickets are $20 before July 8, $30 after July 8 and $35.00 at the gate. You can purchase tickets by going to lincolnsquare.org
